The service here is highly praised, with attentive staff that go above and beyond to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. Guests often highlight the friendliness of the waitstaff, making each visit feel personal and special.
The menu at Shivas is a delightful collection of traditional Indian dishes, drawing attention for both flavor and presentation. Among customer favorites are the butter chicken, paired exquisitely with garlic naan, which is frequently described as a culinary knockout. Deeply flavorful, the butter chicken is a must-try for anyone seeking a taste of India. Naan varieties such as garlic naan and chilli naan have garnered acclaim for their freshness and robust flavors—perfect accompaniments for the rich curries.
For the adventurous eater, the spicy Beef, Chicken, and Mutton fried rice options can pack a heat level that surprises and delights, as noted by a satisfied lunch-goer. If you prefer milder fare, dishes like the Paneer Tikka Masala and Malai Kofta deliver good taste without overwhelming the palate. However, some dishes, like the Vegetable Biryani, may leave you wanting a bit more in terms of flavor.
Shivas doesn't just stop at the main dishes; beverages like the blueberry mojito have received high praise as the best drink in a while for many, complementing the food beautifully. And don’t miss the rice pudding—a customer favorite that is a fitting way to end your meal.
Despite being on the pricier side compared to other Indian establishments, diners often leave satisfied, attributing the cost to the quality of both the food and the attentive service. As you plan your visit, keep in mind that finding parking can be a bit of a challenge, but rest assured, the experience inside Shivas will make it all worthwhile.
So, whether you're a long-time lover of Indian cuisine or a curious newcomer, Shivas Bar and Grill promises to deliver an exceptional dining experience filled with unforgettable flavors and top-notch service. Make the trip to indulge your senses today!
“ Good food and service. Higher prices than comparable Indian restaurants. Paneer Tikka Appetizer - Good flavor Paneer Tikka Masala - good taste Paneer Nilgiri - Decent taste but expensive Malai Kofta - Decent gravy, Kofta were ok Vegetable Biryani - not good Garlic Naan, Chilli Naan, Onion Kulcha were good. Roti/chapati and plain naan were ok. ”
“ The meal was excellent. The pairing of the garlic naan with the butter chicken was a culinary knockout. The quality of the food and the overall atmosphere/service combined for a satisfying visit. ”
“ I came here to have lunch with my colleagues at noon. It's an Indian restaurant with extremely high ratings and reviews. We then ordered beef, chicken, and mutton fried rice, and chose the "10 spicy" level. As expected, it was really spicy—this might be the spiciest meal I've had in the US, and I loved it. I will definitely come back again. ”
“ Amazing Indian food but a little expensive though. Had their butter chicken, mango lassi, lobster prawn curry, chicken biriyani and naan basket. Everything was good and service was nice. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Dallas downtown in walkable distance from the Perot museum and Dallas Aquarium. You might have to find paid parking around the area, there is a paid parking lot right opposite the restaurant. ”
“ I really loved their food and service. Everything is topnotch compared to other Indian places. I ordered lamp chops and chicken curry. so delicious. but those items are in their regular menu. you have to ask for chef's special menu. everything comes with rice and naan. So you don't need to order those separately. ”
